Say buh-bye to student debt, NY

A $153 billion state budget agreement, which includes the Excelsior Scholarship, would cover tuition for any New Yorker accepted to one of the state’s community colleges or four-year universities, provided their family earns less than $125,000 a year. The scholarship program would be phased in over the next 3 years, beginning in the fall of this year.  For details on further requirements and obligations for this scholarship, read the full story here.
